yes, and dash let's go to new galaxies.

I love a good story. I live to move an audience. I believe in risk. I'm also kind of obsessed with portals (and, further, new galaxies).

who is she?

it's me
Mallory Schlossberg speaking on stage
Talking about world building for brands at the World Experience Summit, London 2025

With nearly fifteen years in the creative industry — and a lifetime in the arts — I'm a multi-hyphenate creative director who brings all her skills together to deliver impactful experiences. Specifically, these skills include overall creative direction and concepting, attendee journey, narrative, and experience design, a rich understanding of production and practical application, tech integrations for experiences, media direction, and multidimensional storytelling.

I've received industry-wide recognition for my work, and was even named one of Event Marketer and Chief Marketer Pro's Top Women in Marketing (Creative) in 2023, and frequently speak on panels about new approaches to experiential work. I've also given lectures to university students.

I am currently a Senior Creative Director at August Jackson, where I've had the privilege of building worlds for Constellation's beer portfolio, directing laser and light shows for massive keynotes, and more.

Before that, I spent six years at Google. I was Creative Lead for Events & Experiences for the Google Cloud Go-to-Market Creative Services team, where I led award-winning massive kickoffs, luxury incentive events, an original metaverse, sprawling immersive worlds, customer events, and more. I also led all copy and content for Google Fiber's brand team — from video spots to UX to sign up flows to web copy and more. I've also held roles at Whole Foods Market, Hearst Digital Media, and spent a fair amount of time in the freelance trenches.

When I'm not doing that, I'm doing all things theater. I've written and directed musicals — including a virtual one with an award-winning score and one that went to the New York International Fringe Festival — and I'm an improv instructor, performer, and director. I've taught musical improv to students all over the globe thanks to the magic of the internet.

what ties it all together?

a relentless desire to make stuff that moves people.

the philosophy

research-based creative approaches

Research projects have led me to work primarily with principles of action, immersion, autonomy, and humanity — which lead to neuroscience-backed work as to why people engage with material, why it moves them, and how they'll remember it.

it's a narrative, and the attendee is the protagonist

I firmly believe that every experience has a story — whether or not it's linear. We're going after change, and all good protagonists change. The attendee is the protagonist.

pieces of a world, not a list of deliverables

Even if it seems like it's just a set piece, everything should create a cohesive world and environment. I treat each deliverable as an element within the world.

concept meets reality

I reconcile my boundary-pushing creative tendencies with realities: budgets, resourcing, material shortages, technologies, executives' tastes, and what's physically possible given how space and time work. I'm a believer in leveraging a mix of high and low, analog and high-tech, and creating multifunctional spaces.

every touchpoint matters

Thorough attendee journey investigation means I'll be thinking of a corner where they might turn their head and might expect to see. This may lead to a critical piece of storytelling, UX-based functional signage, delightful easter eggs in corners, or a bespoke activation.

the why behind the wow

Anyone can put a lot of cool stuff in a room. But can it be purposeful and drive results? Through a relentless commitment to the attendee journey, experience design principles, and business objectives, I make sure creative execution is strategic, intentional, and driven by purpose.
